Warm Welcome at Frankaborough Farm

When you think of Devon and Cornwall it conjures up pictures of cream teas, picturesque countryside, quaint litle shops and a beautiful coastline the perfect place to enjoy a restful and relaxing holiday. If you’re looking to visit the area and need to find good accommodation, then look no further.

The first thing you will notice on your arrival at the traditional dairy beef and arable farm is the warm welcome you receive from Linda and her family, who will do their utmost to ensure your stay is remembered for all the right reasons. A traditional country decor resides throughout with exposed beams and wood burners set in stone fire places creating a warm atmosphere reminiscent of days gone by.

Frankaborough farm cottages offer excellent four star accommodation on a 375 acre farm in a beautiful quiet rural location but easily accessible from the A30 (4 miles).

375 Acre working Farm

Set on a 375 acre working farm in a beautiful quiet rural location close to the Devon/Cornwall border, owner Mrs. Linda Banbury has several delightful Holiday Cottages  accommodating from 2 – 6 persons.

You will meet the traditional farmers Derek, Raymond and James milking the Holstein Friesian dairy cows twice a day and will have great delight showing you the calves being fed, cows milked and the beef cattle roaming the fields. You are welcome to join in with every day life on the farm. There is always much to see and plenty going on.

Whilst enjoying your stay you can also treat yourself to some pampering by Claire our daughter, a CIDESCO trained Beauty Therapist who owns a beauty salon in nearby Launceston and offers a variety of treatments and massage. Call 01566 773555. Lucy our other daughter has a degree in childcare and will willingly babysit to enable you to have a relaxing child free evening.

Feedback

Yes, for the coastline Cornwall is supreme but the English countryside, Devon takes top prize. Really excellent cottage, grand folk, such and peace and quiet. We shall go home all the better for coming to stay here. Our thanks and best wishes to everyone (may we make you an offer for the bathroom). J Penrose, Cornwall.

Thank you for a perfect stay at Frankaborough Farm, it was exactly the peace and quiet we were looking for. The countryside is stunning and the dogs made it feel homely and farm made it special. Thanks to all your help and advice and to the people we met in the area who made us feel so welcome.

Peter, Sheila and Andrew - Surrey

A lovely cottage with fantastic views, thank you so much to Linda and the family especially James for the guided tour. Really enjoyed the birth of the calf and feeding the lambs. Absolutely brilliant, enjoyed every minute of it. Faye Cresswell and Jade Evans.
