Brilliant place for a winter break. Great countryside, amazing walks out on the Okehampton range, and a wonderful farm house to come back to afterwards. All the home comforts you need, along with a lovely fire that kept everyone nice and warm. Thanks for a great stay and the extra firewood.

We have had a really lovely Christmas and don’t really want to say how perfect it has been in case everyone else gets the same idea. This has been our second Christmas at Frankaborough and we have enjoyed it just as much this year. We have especially enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet of the Devon countryside. Coming back to such a gorgeous cottage is lovely. Highlight was probably the walk on the costal path from Widemouth to Bude stunning in the winter sun. Thank you to Derek, Raymond and James for letting us wonder all around the farm and especially ‘thank you’ to Linda for all her kindness.

Thank you for a lovely welcome on our arrival even the dogs came up to greet us. Lovely accommodation and would love to come again.

A lovely cottage with fantastic views, thank you so much to Linda and the family especially James for the guided tour. Really enjoyed the birth of the calf and feeding the lambs. Absolutely brilliant, enjoyed every minute of it.

Lovely cottage and farm setting, a home away from home for us arable farmers from the east. Great to have all the modern comforts. Would recommend anyone coming to the area to stop here. Thanks to all the family for making us feel so welcome.

A big thank you to Linda and Derek for their hospitality. This is one of the best cottages we’ve stayed in, in 15 years of cottage holidays (twice a year on average). Lydford Gorge is a must.

What a fantastic short break we had in this really lovely, cosy cottage. We enjoyed three idyllic days of cycling in near perfect weather, getting to know this beautiful Devon countryside and would recommend the Otter Sanctuary near Launceston and for something different a trip on the train from Gunnislake to Plymouth. In nearly thirty years of cottage holidays, this is one of the nicest we’ve ever found and getting to know the family and dogs has been a real delight. Sincere thanks.

Yes, for the coastline Cornwall is supreme but the English countryside, Devon takes top prize. Really excellent cottage, grand folk, such and peace and quiet. We shall go home all the better for coming to stay here. Our thanks and best wishes to everyone (may we make you an offer for the bathroom).

Peace solitude, accommodation excellent to the last detail. Lovely to see the calves, highly recommend to friends, really had a good stay.
